Why is the water hot? If you dip your hand in the spring you will notice that the water temperature does not exceed 15 °C. Coming from the depths of the granite, it keeps this temperature constant all year round, which in winter seems hot indeed. Seemingly springing from the rock, strings of bubbles rise to the surface. These bubbles contain different gases like nitrogen, argon or helium.
Traces of history, such as flint axes, Roman coins and the testimony of a washerwoman show that this spring has been appreciated, venerated and exploited for a long time.
Turn back and go up to the left towards the plateau.
