This recently created pond is a place frequented by certain species of amphibians during the breeding season.
As early as February, it is possible to observe males and females of the agile frog in courtship. The green frog is more cautious and will mate in the middle of spring and will be shared between this pond and the neighboring pond; just like its cousin the tree frog, known for its noisy songs.
Their tadpoles will spend 1 to 3 months in the water before metamorphosing and moving to the surrounding wetlands.
Unlike the males of frogs and tree frogs, newts are completely silent.
But it is not impossible that you will catch these lizard-like amphibians in this pond, especially since they prolong their stay after the spring mating.
