Description
Le conservatoire & Orchestre de Caen organise des mini-concerts, adaptés aux jeunes oreilles et emmènent petits et grands à la découverte du monde musical.
Après l'enregistrement du disque "Birth of the cool" (1949), Miles Davis lance le style du "Jazz West Coast", porté par les musiciens du groupe installés à Los Angeles qui accordent une grande importance aux instruments, où musique écrite et liberté d'improvisation cohabitent avec bonheur.
Lors de ce concert vous pourrez entendre des reprises de thèmes enregistrés par Stan Getz, Gerry Mulligan ou encore Bob Brookmeyer.

The Caen Conservatoire & Orchestra organises mini-concerts, tailored for young listeners, which take young and old alike on a journey of discovery through the world of music.
Following the recording of the album *Birth of the Cool* (1949), Miles Davis pioneered the ‘West Coast Jazz’ style, championed by the band’s Los Angeles-based musicians who placed great emphasis on the instruments, where written music and the freedom of improvisation coexist harmoniously.
During this concert, you’ll hear covers of pieces originally recorded by Stan Getz, Gerry Mulligan and Bob Brookmeyer.
