Planches Contact Festival explore l’histoire récente de l’Iran et les aspirations de sa jeunesse. En écho à l’exposition de Newsha Tavakolian aux Franciscaines, ce ciné-goûter invite à (re)découvrir Persepolis, film d’animation réalisé par Marjane Satrapi et Vincent Paronnaud, sorti en 2007 et adapté de sa bande dessinée autobiographique. Avec humour, émotion et un récit incroyable, le film suit le parcours d’une jeune fille confrontée à la révolution iranienne, à l’exil et à la conquête de sa liberté.
Récompensé par le Prix du Jury au Festival de Cannes en 2007 et nommé pour l’Oscar du meilleur film d’animation en 2008, Persepolis s’est imposé comme une œuvre majeure du cinéma d’animation contemporain. En mêlant mémoire personnelle et récit universel, le film résonne avec une force intacte. Alors que Marjane Satrapi nous a quittés en juin dernier, cette projection prend une dimension particulière : celle d’un hommage à une artiste dont la voix, libre, a durablement changé notre regard sur l’Iran et sur le pouvoir du récit.
Une projection accessible dès 12 ans, suivie d’un goûter aux saveurs d’Iran, pour prolonger le voyage et partager en famille ce moment de cinéma.

Echoing Newsha Tavakolian’s exhibition at Les Franciscaines, this film and tea party invites you to (re)discover *Persepolis*, an animated film directed by Marjane Satrapi and Vincent Paronnaud, released in 2007 and adapted from her autobiographical graphic novel.
