Théâtre "En attendant Godot"
Description

A timeless classic brought to new heights
Beckett specialist Jacques Osinski takes on this legendary play, the most frequently performed in the world since its publication in 1952. He has chosen the 1984 version, known as the “San Quentin” version, in which Beckett slightly modified his text, adding “flesh to the bones” and several stage directions to accompany the staging by his former assistant, Walter Asmus.
On stage, Jacques Osinski brings together a cast of extraordinary actors: Jacques Bonnaffé, Aurélien Recoing, Peter Bonke, and his collaborator of thirty years, Denis Lavant—winner of the Molière Award for Best Actor in 2025 for *Endgame*, their previous collaboration.
Poised between farce and tragedy, this play explores the human condition through its two main characters, two bedraggled tramps waiting for a hypothetical Godot. In a magnificent pairing, Denis Lavant plays the role of Vladimir and Jacques Bonnaffé that of Estragon.
