Les bibliothèques de Caen la mer s’associent pour mettre en lumière la culture hip-hop à travers trois expositions (BAdT, Grâce-de-Dieu, Hérouville Saint clair) et des temps forts variés : ateliers, rencontres, conférences, concerts, projections, battle de breakdance…
Trop souvent assimilé simplement à une danse, le hip-hop est en réalité un mouvement artistique et culturel diversifié qui se manifeste dans au moins quatre disciplines fondatrices : DJing, Breakdance, Graffiti et Rap.
La bibliothèque Alexis de Tocqueville propose dans le cadre de cette exposition de retracer l'histoire du hip-hop en donnant à voir et à entendre le DJ caennais Phuncky Doyen et le photographe Big Daddy. Phuncky Doyen prête pour cette occasion une partie de son incroyable collection de vinyles et d'objets divers. Big Daddy livre quant à lui une très belle approche documentaire à travers l'ensemble de ses photographies.
Plusieurs animations seront organisées en lien avec l'exposition, détail ici sur le site du réseau des bibliothèques de Caen la mer.

The libraries in Caen-la-Mer are joining forces to showcase hip-hop culture through three exhibitions (BAdT, Grâce-de-Dieu, Hérouville-Saint-Clair) and a variety of events: workshops, talks, conferences, concerts, film screenings, breakdance battles…
